A foreign state may request the extradition from Sweden of a person claimed to have committed a crime in said state.
Here, the Supreme Court has to review whether there are obstacles to extradition and then submit its opinion to the government. If the Supreme Court considers that there are obstacles, there can be no extradition. In other cases, the government decides whether the person can be extradited.
