Following this year’s theme, there are several articles that deal with the division of roles between the Government, the Parliament and the courts, and the dialogue between these institutions that the creation of legislation and setting of precedent can be considered to entail. Among other things, the background to initiatives for new or amended legislation is discussed, but also the question of when and in what way the Supreme Court should provide guidance on the application of new legislation.
The Supreme Court is an organization with many different categories of employees. The Supreme Court’s offices, i.e. all employees except the Justices, are divided into different divisions and groups. The heads who lead these various parts of the offices are presented in the Report. This year's edition also includes an article about the Supreme Court's library and its importance for the Court’s setting of precedents.
In addition, the Activity Report contains brief summaries of a selection of the precedents issued by the Supreme Court during the year.
