The Supreme Court’s website is launched in an English version

The website of the Supreme Court is now also available in an English version to make it more accessible for an international audience.

As well as information regarding the activities of the Court, its members and history, a selection of precedents will be translated into English. The precedents that will be translated relate mainly to areas of law of interest for the European countries, or are otherwise presumed to be of international interest. For example, some precedents regarding EU law or the European Convention will be translated.

Naturally, the website is also intended for members of the public or legal professionals in Sweden who find it easier to read the information in English than in Swedish.

“We are delighted to now be able to present a new website in English. This is an important step in our effort to disseminate information regarding our activities in different ways”, says Anders Eka, President of the Court.
